On the June 7 event, kids will have the opportunity to engage in physical activities that promote the message of keeping in shape. Activities will include a kickball station, tennis challenge, obstacle course, bicycle course, bowling challenge and limbo competition. All activities will be themed around Cartoon Network’s line-up of original cartoon series including Ben 10: Alien Force, Camp Lazlo, Chowder, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends and My Gym Partner’s a Monkey. Space Center Houston welcomed the 5th grade class winners of the 2008 Southwest Adopt-A-Pilot CAREER TAKEOFF National Contest. Out of 27,0000 students who participated in the program this year, Mrs. Sherri Duggan’s class from Poetry, Texas were the recipients of the Captain’s Award; a day long “flying field trip” to Space Center Houston! The class and their chaperones departed from Dallas Love Field and landed at Houston Hobby Airport, and then spent the day exploring here at SCH. (more…)
