Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

If you purchased a concert-only ticket for Friday, March 13 or Saturday, March 14, doors open at 5 p.m. via the main entrance to Space Center Houston.

When you arrive, follow these steps to secure your concert wristband:

  1. Use the print-at-home ticket issued to you to enter Space Center Houston. Navigate your way through our security process.
  2. Once your ticket has been scanned and you are inside Space Center Houston, visit our Concert Check-In table in the Main Plaza to redeem your ticket for a wristband.
  3. The Moon 2 Mars Festival main stage is located outdoors on our festival grounds, which you can access via Independence Plaza. Concert viewing is first-come, first-served. Both performances are scheduled to begin no earlier than 7 p.m.

If you purchased a VIP ticket for Friday, March 13 or Saturday, March 14, you can begin your visit as early as 9 a.m., when Space Center Houston opens to the public.

When you arrive, follow these steps to access your VIP benefits:

  1. Use the print-at-home ticket issued to you to enter Space Center Houston to navigate your way through our security process.
  2. Once your ticket has been scanned and you are inside Space Center Houston, visit our VIP Check-In table in the Main Plaza to redeem your ticket for your commemorative lanyard and badge.
  3. The VIP lounge opens at 5 p.m. both days and is located to stage left of the Moon 2 Mars Festival main stage. This is located outside on our festival grounds, which you can access via Independence Plaza.
  4. When you arrive at the tent, ensure that you are wearing your VIP badge and it is clearly visible to our staff to accommodate entry into the space.

Please note: Food and beverages from the VIP lounge are not permitted outside of the space.

There are 3 options to access the concerts: by purchasing a VIP, Combo (General Admission and Concert access) or Concert-Only ticket.

The 2026 concerts are scheduled for Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14. For both nights, doors are at 5 p.m. and artists go on at 7 p.m. Seating is first-come, first-served unless you have purchased a VIP Lounge ticket, which features a priority viewing area.

Member Pre-Sale begins on Tuesday, January 20 and runs through Monday, January 26, 2026.

Starting January 27. 2026, tickets will go on sale to the public, with an Early Bird discount on Concert-only tickets.

All NASA Johnson Space Center employees receive complimentary general admission to Space Center Houston’s Moon 2 Mars Festival by presenting their badge at the ticketing booth upon arrival. Guest admission is available at a discount for all NASA Johnson Space Center employees who present their badge.

A concert ticket is required for the concerts Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14.

Space Center Houston members do not need to purchase General Admission tickets to the festival and will enter through a members-only entrance line. General admission access is included in Space Center Houston member benefits!
 
To attend the concerts on Friday, March 13 or Saturday, March 14, members must purchase a separate concert ticket.
 

Space Center Houston’s Moon 2 Mars Festival is rain or shine! There are plenty of indoor activities and experiences to enjoy, including our entire permanent collection. We’ve got you and your crew covered!

Timed-entry tickets are required for non-member guests to ensure a comfortable experience. Entry slots are available every half hour and can be reserved online. Ticket holders may enter at any time after their designated arrival time.

Members can visit without reserving tickets.

For 2026, our concerts are scheduled for Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14. If you purchase a Concert Only ticket, entry will begin at 4 p.m. All other tickets grant access to the concert venue depending on their ticketing entry time.

No outside food or drink is allowed in Space Center Houston. Don’t worry, we’ve got plenty of stellar snacks you can enjoy during your visit!

Our Historic Mission Control Tram Tour is a paid tour that must be reserved online in advance. This is our most popular tour and it will likely sell out for the week of Spring Break.

Three tram tour options included in general admission, the George W.S. Abbey Rocket Park, Astronaut Training Facility and NASA Campus tours, must be reserved on-site the day of your visit at our Guest Services desk. As some of our most popular attractions, these reservations quickly fill up. We recommend all guests book their tram tours when they first arrive for best availability.

Concert seating is limited and is first-come, first-served on our turf lawn for you and your crew to spread out!

Want a guaranteed spot to watch your favorite artists? Grab a VIP ticket for access to the VIP Lounge, priority viewing areas and everything included in Space Center Houston general admission.

Space Center Houston exhibitions and experiences will be available during regular operating hours and will begin closing at 5 p.m. on concert days. Otherwise, all exhibitions and experiences in Space Center Houston will be available during festival operating hours. Learn more about what there is to explore at Space Center Houston.

On the festival grounds, there will be a limited-time menu featuring classic Texas barbecue!

The Food Lab inside Space Center Houston will be available during the entirety of the festival. There are food options available for a variety of dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
