The conference is only $249.

What is included in the cost?
Three days (Feb. 5-7) of sessions and keynotes. A meet and greet Reception on Thursday. Breakfast, lunch and a Banquet on Friday. Breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Also included is transportation from conference hotels to Space Center Houston.

What is not included in the cost?
Breakfast and lunch on Thursday is not included. However, there is an eating area inside Space Center Houston for your convenience. Hotel accommodations and transportation to and from the airport are the responsibility of the attendee. Also not covered are the conference dive sessions or apparel.

Is food provided?
Yes. Breakfast and lunch is provided on Friday and Saturday as well as a Reception on Thursday and a Banquet meal on Friday. The food for the Thursday evening Reception consists of food and beverages from the Clear Lake Area's finest restaurants. The event on Friday is a full buffet. Drink tickets for cocktails are included on Friday evening.

What is different about this year's Reception?
You are invited to a new SEEC Reception experience, the 2009 "Taste of Space" Epicurean Evening. The event will take place at Space Center Houston from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. in place of the usual conference reception.
This event is a cultural experience showcasing the Clear Lake Area's finest restaurants, food and beverages. All of your food and alcoholic /nonalcoholic beverages are included in the $249 conference registration fee. There is no need to purchase a ticket for the event if you are registered as a conference presenter or attendee. If you would like to purchase an additional ticket for a guest, the cost is $28.

Is transportation provided?
Transportation to and from the airport is the responsibility of the attendee. Space Center Houston will provide transportation to and from conference hotels to Space Center Houston. A bus schedule will be available on the website by January 12, 2009.

What if I have to cancel?
Due to the popularity of SEEC, cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full registration fee. No refunds will be granted. However, registration may be transferred to a fellow colleague.

How do I register?
There are multiple ways to register. The first step is to look at the conference booklet (available on the website by October 13, 2008), and choose your sessions. Next, you can either go online and register or send the registration form to us. The registration form can be found on the last few pages of the conference booklet.

What is the attire for conference?
For conference sessions, we recommend you dress comfortably. Temperature in each of the rooms can vary, so a sweater is recommended.

Can I bring my child to the conference or conference events?
The SEEC is an adult only event. Children are not allowed in any of the conference sessions, at the Reception or the Banquet.

A listing of conference hotels will be available on October 13, 2008 in the conference booklet.

What is the attire for the Reception and Banquet?
The Reception is casual to business casual attire. The Banquet is business attire, but if you feel like dressing up, you won't be alone.

Can I bring a guest to the Reception and Banquet?
Yes. Additional Reception and Banquet tickets can be purchased for $28 and $40 respectively. They can be purchased in advance or they can be purchased on the day of the event, but not at the door. There are no refunds for additional Reception and Banquet tickets.

What is the ISS Construction Simulation (AKA the dive session)?
ISS Construction Simulation is a SCUBA session where no previous experience is necessary. Participants will participate in underwater training exercises in a local indoor swimming pool just like the astronauts train in NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Lab. Space is limited, so register for this session early. The cost is $25.

You will need to bring a bathing suit and towel and be ready to have fun!

Do I need to attend all three days?
We recommend you attend all three days because it is fun! However, you must attend all 3 days to receive the full 24 hours of continuing education credit.
