Solar Week: The Sun's impact on the Solar System, Moon, Mars and Beyond
Come to Space Center Houston and shares in the beauty, relevance and significance of our Suns relationship to earth and the solar system. Don't miss this year's activities that will show your students how to monitor the progress of a solar storm, see solar spots using telescopes and understand more about our Solar System and NASA's mission to go to the Moon and Beyond. Hear a special presentation from a NASA astronomer and understand the connections of the Sun on our Solar System. Solar Week is a week of curriculum focusing on the Sun-Earth connection and the effect of our dynamic Sun on the Earth and its surroundings with hands-on activities specifically for designed to enhance your student's education

TAKS Exempt Days!
Calling All Kindergarteners, First and Second Graders! Escape from the "quiet zone" and have some serious fun at Space Center Houston! Explore our interactive attractions while those "back on campus" ace the TAKS test. Students will participate in hands-on space exploration activities and each scheduled school will receive a FREE packet of K-2 activities to incorporate into the classroom!

Career Days
A career in the space program is not just for rocket scientists! Expose your students to an Out-of –this World Day that only happens at Space Center Houston. Meet Robotic engineers, Flight Surgeons, Program Managers, Material Scientists, Astronauts, Nutritionists, and many local colleges in the area to help your students get ready for careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Robotics Day
Excite and motivate your students by participating in hands-on activities and show them real-life examples of the technology and engineering, design and creativity that Robotics engineering brings to their future careers! Bring your robotics team and try out your robots out on our unique and exclusive Mars Yard! See how NASA uses Robots and meet a NASA robotic engineer! Teachers, learn how to start a robotics program in your school.
